This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Jan 12, Bookaholic added it. Jan 05, Bogdan rated it it was amazing Shelves: Romanian Royal House through the Crown Princess Margareta helped me to glimpse into a world which is not usually carea to the public. Although a cook book, a royal one, each recipe or set of recipes are preceded by a short description of the members of various European Royal Houses from which the Crown Princess got them.

It also uses that brief pages commentary to describe various family ties between them and how they interacted in the past with the Romanian Royal House. Although Romania Romanian Royal House through the Crown Princess Margareta helped me to glimpse into a world which is not usually available to the public. Although Ds is a Republic sincethe last King, Michael, was forced to abdicated using Soviet Red Army and diplomatic pressure.

Me and a part of Romanian population are in favor of restoring monarchy. The premise is to help popularize more the Romanian Royal House, and the Crown Princess Margareta, that was in exile for over 40 years.

It also uses the occasion to bring up some savory recipes that are served by Royal Houses all over the world, so that any person might enjoy them. I cooked some of them and they were great. This initiative is very good, in my opinion, so I will give it a 5 for premise. The form is great. The Crown Princess is not a writer but did a great job in the description she accompany each set of recipes, description of the people from various Royal Houses, from which she obtained the recipes.

The pictures are also great, so I cannot rate it less than 5 at form. In terms of originality there are a lot of other cook books around the world. Some of them are mentioned in the foreword, that have been inspirational for His Royal Highness.

But I haven’t heard of a cook book written by a Crowning Prince or Princess. This is why I will rate it with a 4. The characters are the other Royal Houses members described. Of course it starts with her own family members, her grandparents, her parents and her sisters, and it is easy to perceive the kindness with which she refers to all. I especially enjoyed I had the opportunity to read about them, so I rate it with a 5. Regarding the complexity and difficultyHRH mentions that either she or the Royal House cook has tried all of the recipes and adapted them to the ingredients found in Romania and the culture of the land.

She also consulted the persons from which she got the recipes. As I am sure this was not an easy task, I am rating it with a 5 for complexity and difficulty. In terms of credibilityas this is a cook book and there is no degree of truth in a recipe, I will refrain from giving any rating for this characteristic. The last criteria is edition.

I enjoyed greatly the exceptional graphical elements of the book. The paper is also of top quality, nothing less that what a Royal Family deserves. Simply there is not a single thing I can mention that was not good about this edition, so I will rate it for edition with a 5. To summarize, I did not read too many cook books, but this is on top on all. Not necessarily on the quality of the several recipes they are also very tastybut more due to the great additional material that links the recipes to other members of the European Royal Families.

All in all, my final rating for the novel is 4.
