El diablo tiene ojos azules (Travis 2)
Then, awhile later, I won a copy of the introductory novella to her magical realism Friday Harbor seri Originally reviewed here Angieville Sometimes you come full circle with a certain author. This book was really interesting because Lisa Kleypas gave us more than a couple of bad characters. Rupert Carsington es una fuente diablk quebraderos de cabeza para su lissa familia. I have a couple of quibbles, but they’re minor: Lisa Kleypas just knows how to tug those strings. You definitely sense their attraction to each other but they don’t spend a lot of time getting to know each other.
The Best Books of What did the trick for me was the first scene of them in the wine cellar. Book ratings by Goodreads.
Entrelazados por nuestros secretos, hemos intentado desafiar el destino. And fun to see her connect with Hardy. Really 5 star writing, but there were parts that were so effective that they depressed the living hell out of me so I have to give it a 4 on the “like” scale.
There were plenty of highs and lows that kept me a bit of an emotional wreck through this one. I know it’s sexist, but I’ve always had a terribly hard time with violence against women. I really enjoyed reading about Hardy again because it felt like something was so wrong with him in the previous book that I wanted to see his HEA.
But Hardy pulls that back up leaving this a shaky, but appreciated, four stars. Damnation all to hell and hush mah mouth, why in the bloody blazes did they get a female with a Southern Georgia accent to narrate a book set in Houston, Texas especially when one of the major characters is a hunky, gruff 6 foot something piece of oilfield trash made good? Maybe after Sugar Daddy most books won’t feel as good as that one for a while, I don’t know, but it didn’t feel the same.
It is not the South. I liked this book a lot but I felt like it wasn’t quite as good as Sugar Daddy.
But, obviously, that’s a wee bit too long. Originally reviewed here Angieville Sometimes you come full circle with a certain author. I get way too “into” my books.
Travis #2: El diablo tiene ojos azules, de Lisa Kleypas
Overall, Blue-Eyed Devil is a heartbreaking story and well worth the effort. I and I think Kleypas as well would hope that someone currently in such a lisw may recognize themselves and their abuser diabloo the pages of the story and get out.
I know, I know, bad Sassy for being so judgemental and narrow-minded. Maybe Liberty wasn’t his destiny but Haven surely is. Sugar Daddy is also a wonderful book not to missed for its own unique plot and amazing heroine Liberty.
She was a lot stronger than her family gave her credit for. Even with those gripes it was still a good book though and Lisa Kleypas writing always sucks me in.
El diablo tiene ojos azules (Travis, #2) by Lisa Kleypas (4 star ratings)
The characters were quite charming. His reaction is priceless. Lisa Kleypas’ contemporary novels feel much heavier than her historicals. Refresh and try again. I do not recommend anyone begin this book who has not already completed Sugar Daddy.
So I finished this almost a week ago and the details have gone a bit fuzzy. It’s going to be interesting to see what book three does to the dynamic.

Oh boy, he made my heart flutter. Please excuse my ignorance if I got that all wrong.
