In excha Side note: Books by Mandy Wiener. Liked isn’t really the word, but this revised and updated edition was a fascinating read. Another small gripe for me is the language Mandy uses in the book.

As a South African, seeing the daily reports during the years leading up to, and following Kebble’s death, it is enlightening to look back in time now and see how the pieces have all come together.
My impressions and comments on the content: After much consideration I decided to give it five stars, simply because I believe that history should be written by more than one author to counterbalance the noble nonsense that is prescribed in schools. Telling it like it is In our collective minds, this type of mafia-based violence is something from the narratives, bu I read this some time ago, and still cannot come to terms with the fact that this book is non-fiction.

The book gives us a glimpse into the South African underworld and left me living in Kebbke wanting to read more stories about stuff that goes on right here on our doorsteps. It is a veritable mafia setup, with hits plotted in local coffee shops and people intimidated in the safety of their suburban homes.
